This fan-favorite ‘Ghosts’ actor was just promoted to series regular

Ghosts Season 6 will feature a lot more of Kyle, as his favorite actor, Ben Feldman, has been promoted to series regular. Kyle was first introduced in Ghosts season 4 as another character who can see ghosts, much like the series’ protagonist, Sam Arondekar (Rose McIver). After being hit by a bird at the top of a roller coaster, Kyle discovered he could see ghosts. Since then, he has helped Sam and her husband, Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), deal with the sometimes overwhelming demands of the ghosts that haunt Woodstone Mansion.

During the Ghosts season 5 finaleSam sold her first screenplay, Polar oppositesand was hired to write a trilogy. When she was told she had to travel out of town for the shoot, ghost Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) suggested Kyle take over for Sam. “ghost sitter.” The other ghosts thought it was a great idea because Kyle is usually very accommodating to them, and they started chanting his name. Kyle agreed to the plan, and this opened the door to an expanded role for Feldman, who will now be a regular.

Ghosts Showrunners Praise Ben Feldman as Kyle

In a statement to Term, Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman praised Feldman’s acting ability after he was elevated to series regular. They said: “We are so excited to have Ben in Ghosts this season. He is a truly gifted actor who is as adept at comedy as he is at emotion, and he is an incredible addition to an already great cast.”

Additionally, in an Instagram post, Ghosts welcomed Feldman as a season 6 regular and shared photos of him as Kyle on the show. The caption of the post read: “Kyle checks in for an extended stay at Woodstone – we’re excited to welcome @benmfeldman as a series regular for Season 6 of #GhostsCBS! #announcement #benfeldman.”

Ghosts season 5 ended with a cliffhanger in which Kyle witnessed the disappearance of ghost Pete (Richie Moriarty) on his way home from a trip with Jay. The trio had traveled to England to find a painting of Nancy (Betsy Sodaro) that revealed her to be a princess, which would cause Woodstone Mansion to be designated a historic landmark to prevent it from being demolished by the Evercreek Water Company. Their mission was successful, but Pete disappeared because his mind power to travel away from Woodstone has a limit if he stays away too long.

Since Kyle was there when Pete disappeared, it will be intriguing to see what role he plays in figuring out what happened to him and if it’s possible to get him back. Plus, Kyle will be standing in for Sam while she’s gone, which is sure to make for plenty of hilarious high jinks as the ghosts will inevitably try to take full advantage of his kindness.

Feldman is a talented actor known for his roles in Super store And Crazy men. He is a fantastic addition to the Ghosts cast, and it’s exciting that he’ll be a regular in Season 6, premiering midseason in 2027, with Halloween and Christmas specials planned for 2026. Both Feldman and Kyle are loved by Ghosts fans, and it will be so fun to see what happens next for the character.
