December 10 is Simon’s latest boy band venture. The group is composed by the music mogul in the Netflix show The Next Act. They are made to hopefully become the next big boy band and follow in the footsteps of One direction. They’ve had one bit of a bumpy startalthough.
Members of the group include Danny, Josh Olliver, Cruz Lee-Ojo, Hendrik Christofferson, John Fadare, Nicolas Alves and Seán Hayden.
Recently, Danny became embroiled in controversies. Several social media users have accused him of being a “misogynist.” Some users have claimed that he “love bombed” them, was unfaithful and treated them disrespectfully. Others claimed Danny bullied them at school.
Following the allegations, Danny took to social media to apologize. In his statement, he said: “Looking back on some of my actions, I understand why this caused anger and pain, and for that I am truly sorry. I did not think enough about how my behavior could affect other people.”
He said he would take time to work on himself and seek professional support.
According to The sunthe band confirmed Danny’s time off and showed their support.
“Danny is taking some time off right now, and we respect that,” they shared in their IG story. “One thing we’ve always talked about as a band is the importance of taking care of your mental health and getting support when you need it. Right now that’s what Danny is focused on.”
The European leg of their tour starts in Amsterdam on December 10. It is unclear if Danny will return to the group for the remainder of their tour.
