The young and the restless spoilers for next week’s excitement as the July sweep begins, including Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) taking a big risk and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is terrified after her mother receives an absolutely horrible medical diagnosis that could actually be fatal.
We have the latest Y&R spoilers for the week of June 22, including Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) taking a big step that we honestly hoped was coming and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) warns someone.
The Young and the Restless: Matt Clark’s Clumsy Plan
And now, let’s get straight to the point. First, let’s talk about Matt Clark. So at the end of this week, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) listens to Matt talking to ashby cane (Billy Flynn), and asks Matt why he’s bragging to him. And of course, we know it’s because Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) ordered Matt to get very close to Cane. And that way, he can give Victor information that he can use to destroy Cane. But so far, honestly, Matt isn’t doing a great job because he’s not being subtle at all. And Cane already guesses that Victor is involved somehow. And Cane demands to know what his agenda is.
But Matt persists. Keep working on Cane. And then Matt lies and says he worked at Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) my mother’s farm in Kansas. Cane doesn’t think Matt is a horse fan. Victor has obviously given Matt a ton of information and background because he then tells Cane that his father got sick and that he took care of him until he died, which is great. cunning because Victor knows Cane went through the same thing with his father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers). And then Matt claims that he somehow heard what Cane was like from his father, Colin, near the end of his life. And Matt is talking about how that moved him. This is all because Victor is so horrible.
Cane attacks Matt on Y&R
But then Cane calls BS for everything Matt tells him. He’s not stupid and tries to claim that he only wanted to talk to him because he needs Cane’s advice. So while this was happening, Phyllis Summers was eavesdropping. And then he interferes in Matt and Cane’s conversation and Phyllis asks what they are doing together. Matt says Adam introduced him to Cane. And Cane thinks that’s tremendously convenient. Then Matt tells Cane that he met Phyllis at the GCAC. That’s the point where Cane decides this is all too suspicious and leaves.
Young and the Restless: Phyllis warns Matt and a possible romance
After leaving, Phyllis asks Matt what he’s doing. And she tells him that Victor asks her not to give him away. She won’t do it. But Phyllis warns Matt that Cane is already suspicious, and Phyllis fears this will all come back to bite Matt. We know that Phyllis feels protective of Matt because he saved Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis thinks Matt is a hero and she tells him so.
And he tells Phyllis that he just wants to make up for all the bad things he’s done. But Phyllis warns him that Victor is taking advantage of him and will stab him in the back. But Matt reminds Phyllis that she was manipulating him too. And she turns around and says to Matt, “Look, I know you’re not a psychopath anymore.” AND Phyllis warns again Matt to watch his back with Victor.
Young and Restless: Matt and Phyllis Can Get Hot
We recently made a video about some couple swapping and forming new couples. And it looks like one of the new pairs we predicted could start next week because Phyllis is with Matt in the GCAC. Then things get a little strange when he tells Phyllis, “Once upon a time there was a man who had no memory.” And then Matt says, “And he met a woman and asked her out.” So yeah, Matt is being weird, but ask Phyllis has a date. That’s final. So, we’ll see.
You know, Phyllis is hesitant, but even if she says no the first time Matt asks, I think Phyllis will give in and soon date Matt. But on the other hand, Phyllis could go ahead and say yes the first time Matt asks her. This romance, of course, is going to shock the city of Genoa. And honestly, it’s disgusting to think about Phyllis dating anyone. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) rapist. So much crap.
The Young and the Restless: Jack’s Plan to Find Diane
Also, last week we had Jack Abbott very worried because Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) has done something bad Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and is trapped in Dr. Markham’s (Jere Burns) house. So, this is our next topic. Jack keeps asking Patty to put him in touch with Diane’s psychiatrist, but Patty keeps putting it off. And now it seems Jack doubts Patty will be honest about another doctor’s involvement. And Jack may suspect that his psychiatrist, Dr. Markham, is the one holding Diane up, which is accurate. Hopefully, as this moves forward, they don’t drag this mess out for long. I hope Jack finds Diane during the July raids starting Thursday, June 25.
So next week, Jack will tell Billy about this, catch up, and tell him what he needs to do is get the doctor away from his house. But Billy is worried and talks back to Jack. What happens when the doctor suspects? So it almost seems like Jack wants Billy to lure the doctor away. that jack can come in there. Or maybe he’s going to lure him in and Billy goes in there to see if Diane is there. So, it’s interesting.

Young and restless: Nikki’s terrifying diagnosis
And last but not least, let’s talk about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) Scary diagnosis. So at the end of this week, Victoria is really worried about Nikki. He told her that the headaches were getting worse and that he had a vision problem. And then Victoria turns around and says Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) who is really worried. And Victoria says she’s particularly concerned about the stress Nikki is under. His mother also doesn’t have his best friend Jack to lean on because of all the things she’s dealing with in her life.
And when Claire asks if maybe they should He tries to push Nikki and Victor to reconcile, Victoria says, “No, we just can’t interfere.” And he says Nikki and Victor have been through tough times before. They’ve broken up before, but this breakup is hitting Nikki hard. Claire asks if there are more. And finally, Victoria comes clean and tells Claire about Nikki’s headaches.
And Victoria thinks maybe it’s more than just stress that’s affecting her mother. She mentions Nikki’s alcoholism, which is ironic since Claire pushed her grandmother out of the car. Victoria is also worried about her mother’s multiple sclerosis. And she says that all of Nikki’s health problems are always on Victoria’s mind.
The young and the restless: Victoria struggling with her trauma and grief
And Claire is worried that Victoria is being pessimistic about Nikki because Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) came over. rose up and died unexpectedly. And Victoria admits that Claire is probably right. He worries about losing Nikki too. That brings us to what happens next week with Victoria and her mom. We won’t have to wait long because on Monday Nikki will receive her diagnosis.
And it sounds extremely dangerous, potentially life-threatening, if not treated promptly. Once he finds out, he trusts Victoria, who will tell Nikki that we will do everything we can to fix it. And Victoria’s mom is crying and saying this can’t be happening. We know it’s very serious and Nikki is debating not telling Victor about her diagnosis at all, but Victoria could tell her father.
We’ll see. Be sure to check back tomorrow for our full weekly spoilers video for the week of June 22, including lots more good stuff for the sweeps, plus our weekly predictions, two spoilers, casting news and much more.
