Like any good reality TV dating show, Love Island has had many dramatic moments over the years. In the United States, it all started in 2019 with the first season of the show. Reviews were mixed, but enough people tuned in to keep the American version of it Love Island is going for multiple consecutive seasons, with season 8 currently airing and star Alannah Keyser embroiled in controversy.
The first season of the hit reality show featured a handful of favorite couples, but there may be one winning couple. Love Island‘s first season seemed promising, and there were plenty of couples who worked things out and fell in love by the end of the series. Even couples like Kyra and Cashel, who almost didn’t get together but later did, seemed to work on their relationship after the show ended.
Unfortunately, like the show’s other headlining couples, Kyra Green and Cashel Barnett broke up for good after a will-they-or-won’t-they breakup. Kyra has built a career on her reality TV fame.

Both halves of the former couple posted on Instagram to announce the news of the split, confirming that their split was amicable.
Although Weber and Mirabelli didn’t last, she seems very confident that her current relationship will. In September 2025, Nashville Bride Guide reported that Weber was engaged to Gianni Settino“an analytical software engineer with a French-Canadian background.” The outlet noted that the couple was set up by mutual friends.
Alexandra Stewart and Dylan Curry drifted apart
Alexandra Stewart and Dylan Curry were the second participants Love Islandbut their love didn’t last long after the cameras stopped rolling. Initially, fans followed their beloved social media feeds, but over time their appearances slowed down until they were no longer tagging or posting photos of each other.

Fans were still rooting for Emily Salch and Weston Richey at the end Love Island season one, and the fourth-place players seemed to have a fighting chance. But a short time after the series stopped filming, the two drifted apart.
Only it didn’t sound as gentle or kind as the other breakups on the show. Not alone Emily and Weston quietly part ways– no “divisive” social media posts for them – they don’t seem to have remained friends.
As for Emily, her “breakup announcement” was a simple nod to spending the next Valentine’s Day after the show ended alone. It’s unclear exactly what went wrong, but it’s clear that Emily and Weston weren’t alone in their failed relationship.
Weston Richey may still be finding love on reality TV as he joined the cast Perfect match Season 4. Like The tab reported in May 2026, he is looking for a woman with whom he could raise children who are athletesor as he said, “D1 babies.”
Are there any couples from Britain on Love Island?
A number of couples out Love Island UK are still together, with some engaged, married and starting families
Many of the relationships stand up Love IslandThe series’ multiple seasons in both the United States and the United Kingdom disappeared shortly after their respective seasons ended. That’s not to say the show has been completely unsuccessful; some couples from the show’s recent seasons (2022, 2023 and 2024) are still together. At least, for now.
But they are there a handful of couples whose love stories never ended after that Love Island did; it’s largely the British couples, whose seasons started before the American show ever aired.
For example, Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen appeared on Love Island in 2016; they later married and had a baby together. The same thing happened to Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey; their 2016 run continues Love Island ended up with a marriage and two children.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever also married and had children, as did Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, and Molly-Mae Haag and Tommy Fury, although the two recently announced their separation.

The show may not have a particularly bad track record, at least on the UK side, and fans are clearly very interested in seeing how each person’s story plays out on the show. It’s safe to say that even with a track record of numerous breakups, the show isn’t going anywhere.
