Drakes Iceman album is one of the most popular albums on the market today that rappers love Lil Tjay, Happy, Conway the machineand more have put their own lyrical spins on the project’s beats.
For example, on his thirtieth birthday (May 29), Chicago spitter Lucki dropped his freestyle during the eerie production of “Plot Twist.” In the clip, which can be viewed below, Lucki raps on his mellow bars while counting stacks of money and having a festive birthday dinner with his friends.
Another standout song from Drizzy’s project is “Janice STFU”, in which the 6 God throws lyrical arrows at his critics. New York rapper Lil Tjay recently hopped on the synth-heavy beat to air his own personal grievances, like online trolls harassing his mother and distrustful women.
Another great song from the Iceman album is ‘Shabang’. On the bouncy adlib-driven track, Drizzy takes aim at Kendrick Lamar and hateful opponents plotting his downfall. Chi-City copywriter Lupe fiasco turned the song title around for his “CliqueBang” freestyle and addressed a viral clip of him berating the crowd during one of his concerts after forgetting the lyrics to one of his songs.
Finally, Conway The Machine dropped a dope freestyle over Drake’s melodic “Make Them Pay” beat. On the song, Conway gave introspective measures on whether he should undergo surgery to repair his facial paralysis and his decision to distance himself from untrustworthy people.
