The young and the restless Spoilers for the week of June 29 reveal that things are really heating up, let’s talk about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) being kidnapped and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) absolutely terrified when his wife loses her sight and undergoes high-risk surgery.

The Young and the Restless: Victor’s Terror and Nikki’s Crisis
First, let’s talk about why exactly Victor is so terrified. As we wrap up the week with Friday’s episode, the July sweeps are already having a big impact. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is in the hospital with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) everyone gathered around him. Victor is there too. Nikki’s eyesight is failing and she’s honestly afraid to even open her eyes. But her husband is there, very beaten, and Víctor goes out into the hallway to cry. He’s terrified of Nikki and feels very guilty, of course.
So Victor starts fighting to get the best surgeon there as soon as possible. Seeing Nikki like this breaks him in half, especially after how he’s treated her over the past few months. Nikki feels bad with the kids. They are sitting by his bed, but they all refuse to leave. And finally he tells them that he is glad they are there. And Victoria and Claire admit that Victor knows what’s wrong with her and is doing everything he can to help her, which surprises her.
Y&R Spoilers: Victor on a Mission and Nikki Worries About Nick
Claire and Victoria try to stop Victor from leaving the hospital, but he says that he doesn’t want to stress Nikki out by being there and that he needs to make sure the surgeon arrives as soon as possible. But in the end, Victor promises Claire and Victoria that he will return once he arranges for the surgeon to perform the surgery as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Nikki worries that the stress of all this will affect Nick’s addiction recovery, and Victor calls Stephanie, who is with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and winters lily (Christel Khalil). Then on Friday, Nate tells Lily about Nikki’s health crisis, and Nate says that the mass on Nikki’s optic nerve will be difficult to remove. And then Stephanie gets a call from the surgeon telling her they can be there that same day.
And then Victor appears and I’m excited that the doctor may come and he tells Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) that he will send his private jet to pick up the surgeon. Victor also calls Victoria to inform her that the surgeon will arrive by plane. And after Victor leaves, Lily, Nate, and Stephanie mention that Nikki and Victor are a true love story and that they always get back together.
The Young and the Restless: Race Against Time – Nikki’s Vision Fades
Then it turns out that the surgeon may be too late because, back at the hospital, Victoria tells Nikki, Nick, and Claire that Victor had the surgeon fly in. But then, just as he walks in, Nikki screams, “It’s too late. Her vision is gone. She’s blind.” And then next week the doctor will be there and operate on Nikki on The young and the restless.
Plus, Victoria will give Victor the update that Nikki is finally out of surgery. And when Nick asks how it went, Victoria says it’s too early to tell. So, we may see Nikki struggling with vision loss for a while because she’s soapy and swept away, but I’m sure she won’t be left blind permanently.
Young and Restless: Jack’s Dangerous Rescue Plan
Okay, now let’s move on to Jack and Diane’s story with important things for both of them. At the end of this week, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack are talking in Crimson lights about breaking into Dr. Markham’s (Jere Burns) house where they’re sure he’s holding Diane. And Jack absolutely refuses to let Kyle do the robbery and says that he has to be the one to do it because Jack doesn’t want Kyle to be at risk even though he really wants to be there for Diane.
The two men then debate whether they can confront Patty head on and intimidate her, but Jack doesn’t think that will work. So he wants Kyle will attract Markham of the house so he can enter. And remember, Patty already warned Markham that Jack is going to be a problem. Kyle then calls Markham and leaves him a voicemail and tells him that he saw his mother Diane through the window of his house and tells him that Markham better call him back or Kyle will call the police. Jack and Kyle then realize that if Markham calls again, it will confirm that he really has Diane.
Diane plays Markham on Y&R
Meanwhile, back at the Markham house, we have Diane accusing Markham of lying about Jack moving in with Patty. And Markham keeps talking trash, saying that Jack has moved on. Meanwhile, Diane realizes that Patty and Markham are working together against her. But Diane also wonders why Jack playing together with patty. So Diane continues playing Markham and fakes this big crying crisis, saying that she was always Jack’s second choice. And then Diane starts begging Markham to give her sleeping pills again. Diane is sobbing and freaking out.
The Young and the Restless: Patty’s Counterattack and Jack’s Disappearance
And Markham goes out, listens to Kyle’s voicemail, and then Markham calls him back and denies having Diane. He says he’s in an institution, but doesn’t tell Kyle where. And Kyle says he knows Markham is lying and he’s going to show up to the police. He then asks to meet Kyle in town and tells Markham, “Come to Crimson lights.Then the doctor tells Diane that he will go get her the sedatives and he goes.
Jack and Kyle are feeling pretty smug about their plan. But once again, Patty is one step ahead of them because she was listening and now she’s angry because they’re lying behind her back to get to Diane. So, we’ll find out next week if Markham shows up to meet Kyle. And maybe not. But it looks like Patty or Markham are going to kidnap Jack because next week Kyle will ask Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) if she’s heard from Jack today and Traci hasn’t heard from Jack and asks if anything has happened. And if you remember, neither Traci nor Kyle are staying at the mansion because of Patty.
Then Kyle tells Traci that Jack could be real problem. And I agree. I could see Patty hiding Jack somewhere like the Abbott Cabin or some other remote location and honestly drugging him. Patty is a deranged lunatic with a twisted fixation on Jack. And of course Victor brought her back to Genoa City, which is horrible.
Young and restless: Diane’s seduction strategy
So next week, Diane continues to play with Dr. Markham and she asks him if there is a psychological term for when a The patient develops an attachment. to your therapist. And he tells Diane that it’s pretty common. Now, that may be true, but twisted Markham says it’s a positive part of the process, and that’s definitely not true. And it further convinced me that the guy isn’t a psychiatrist at all and is a friend of Patty’s in the psych ward and that the real Markham is either dead or locked up in a padded room somewhere.
But Diane doesn’t mind and leans towards Markham acting like he likes the idea of her, you know, in love with him. So, Diane gets very, very flirty next week and tells Markham that she’s really looking forward to their next session. And man, I just hope he gives Diane those sleeping pills and she turns around and drugs Markham, ties him up, tortures him for answers, and then escapes.
