Kate Ferdinand’s stepson Tate, 17, ‘hated’ her and lied to his dad Rio about him


Kate and Rio Ferdinand are successfully living as a blended family, but it wasn’t always that way.

The reality star has revealed Kate Ferdinand’s stepson “hated” her and lied to his dad Rio about him. Former Manchester United defender marries ex tovi The star and she have two children of their own in 2019 – Cree, five, and Shay, two.

But Rio was previously married to late wife Rebecca Ellison, who tragically died of breast cancer in 2015 after the birth of their three children. And cat Ryo has been open about her struggles when it comes to her eldest children.

Tate, 17, admitted that he made things difficult for her in the beginning Father And Kate; Admitting that he had lied by saying that the now 35-year-old was meeting random men. She also falsely claimed that he had locked her and her siblings in a room.

But speaking on this week’s edition of Kate’s Blended podcastTate admitted that she felt “very guilty” about liking Kate. He said that he felt his loyalty should lie with his late mother, mirror report.

Both Kate and Tate reflected on the “hell journey” they’ve had over the years during the chat. And he even said that he hated her sometimes.

Kate also recounted the story of how Rio’s eldest children felt jealous. He explains how a delivery contains a gift for an ex footballer Tate accused him of ‘meeting random men on the drive’.

The former reality TV star explained: “One time I got a call to Rio and the kids were sleeping… someone came to drop her off for a drive and it was a man.

“Tate told people that when dad isn’t there, I’m meeting men on the drive. Then some people thought that when Rio was out, I was meeting random people on the drive.”

Tate then admitted that she “had a hater in the house”. He said: “I used to be very jealous. Not jealous, I don’t even know that word, but I would try to be involved in all your business.”

Kate shared another story, revealing how she was trying to hide Valentine’s Day balloon delivery from Rio Children. He said the situation ‘spiraled out of control’ as the youngsters tried to say that their new stepmother had ‘locked them in a room’.

Tate, trying to explain his actions, told Kate: “I was just in such a confused state of mind. I didn’t know what was going on. Dad really didn’t like surprising us with things like that.

“So it was kind of weird like, ‘Why am I being asked to wait here for five minutes?’ You come back as if nothing happened.”

And he later added: “I remember when I hated you. I hated you. And then we would do something nice and then I would immediately go back into love mode and then to get myself out of it I would almost have to lie about what I had done before.

“I felt very guilty for liking Kate and loving Kate. I felt guilty for my mother’s family, for my mother.

The feelings lasted for several years, but Tate now admits that the pair have a great relationship. And Kate admitted that she fondly remembers the moment when she felt them relationship bloom

“I remember the day it changed, and you were like ‘She’s my stepmom’, I was like ‘Oh my God, I’m not her aunt anymore’.”
