Jennifer Lopez was seen crying at her son Max’s high school graduation ceremony on Friday.
The singer – wearing a floral dress, gray cardigan and nude heels – was seen wiping away tears in photos obtained by Page Six.
In another image, Lopez hugged the 18-year-old, who wore a tie-dye shirt, brown pants and matching shoes on his special day.
The artist was accompanied by her parents, Guadalupe Rodríguez and David Lopez, manager Benny Medina and Max’s twin brother, Emme.
Lopez and Emme were also photographed together, with the recent graduate wearing a red polo and blue pants.
The “Office Romance” star shares her twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, who she was with Married for 10 years before their divorce in 2014, although he was not seen at the ceremony.
The musician too skipped Emme’s graduation last month.
However, Lopez attended Emme’s ceremony with Rodríguez, Max and her former stepson, Samuel Affleck.
Emme and Ben Affleck’s 14-year-old son was seen chatting in a series of photos obtained by Page Six at the time.
Lopez married Affleck in 2022 and the pair have kept in close touch each other’s children since their split in 2024.
The “Argo” star shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Samuel, Violet, 20, and Fin, 17.
This was revealed during Emme’s graduation Lopez’s child gets a new name.
One March Instagram post announcing where Emme is going to college identified the student as “Oskar Muñiz” next to a childhood photo. The post also tagged Emme’s Instagram account.
Lopez’s tears on Friday were expected, however, as the hitmaker admitted that she had “been crying for two months” while she was crying. “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” the night before Emme’s graduation.
The actress added that her main goal now is to see the twins “be happy and see where they want to go and do what they want to do.”
Before the kids left for their next chapter, Lopez revealed how she avoided spoiling her children.
“I mean, they do what they see you do,” she said during Monday night’s episode “Watch what happens live.”
“So it’s not so much about what you tell them all the time. Even though I try to download everything I’ve ever learned in my life, every lesson… to them now… before they leave (for college) in August,” she said.
For Lopez, the superstar said it’s about “who you are as a person” and what your kids see you do.
The ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ star confessed that her children don’t want to be ‘anything like’ her and want their ‘own path’.
“They see this personality as something like that,” Lopez explained to host Andy Cohen. “And I also see them as imitation, not imitation, but just picking up things that are the good things or the good qualities about you.”
