days of our lives fans saw Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) already tried to have EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) son murdered. And then after not being able to turn off Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), we saw Kristen change strategies to distance herself.
And then he made what seems like a random call to his niece Sydney DiMera and is clearly up to no good. So let’s look at exactly what Kristen is trying to do by targeting EJ’s son and now his daughter.
Days of our lives: Kristen’s new goal
And now, let’s get into what’s going on because Kristen clearly has a death wish and I think her brother is almost ready to grant it to her. We know that the DiMera brothers have no problem going to war with each other if days of our lives History is any indicator. And EJ and Kristen have been at odds and fighting with each other ever since he snatched her mother, Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle), and hid her out of town.
He didn’t hurt her. He just hid her. But that way, the police couldn’t force Kristen’s mother to testify against EJ. And all this started because the horrible Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering), Rafe Hernández’s double, appeared after years of being presumed dead. So, EJ decided to use Arnold, since he couldn’t get rid of him. And then they had to lock Rafe up. And then EJ ended up hiding it in a remote location where Rachel Blake was.
Kristen’s mistake on DOOL
So honestly, if Kristen had been smart, she would have just hidden her own mother from the police and then EJ wouldn’t have had to hide her. But instead, Kristen was basically encouraging her mom to testify against EJ because I mean, I guess Kristen goes crazy like that. And that’s what brought EJ’s niece Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote) to shoot him. And then Kristen blames EJ for the fact that her evil twin daughter Rachel is in a psychiatric facility. Meanwhile, EJ knows what’s up It’s that his mom is toxic. Little Rachel’s mom. Honestly, you know, Kristen’s mom is too. But Kristen can’t recognize her own parents’ mistakes.
Days of Our Lives: Kristen’s Twisted Manipulation
And what’s worse, little Rachel soon becomes distraught and bug-eyed when Kristen and brady black (Eric Martsolf) comfort their daughter, who discovers her evil little friend. Sofia Choi (Rachel Boyd) is dead from an apparent suicide. What’s even more twisted is that Kristen is comforting Rachel after she killed her best friend. Because days of our lives All viewers know that Kristen lured Sophia into killing Johnny in exchange for a fresh start outside of town. Kristen knew what buttons to push because Sophia hates Johnny. But it was always about Kristen trying to blame EJ for Rachel’s spiral and her stay in the psych ward and punishing him.
But after Kristen thought Johnny was dead, he betrayed Sophia and hit her over the head with a rock. The fake suicide with the note he framed Holly Jonah (Ashley Puzemis) over social media harassment was just one more twisted thing. Clearly, Kristen doesn’t care about killing other people’s children because she then had her henchman throw Sophia’s lifeless body into the murky water. When Kristen found out that Johnny survived, of course, she was furious.
And now Kristen is feigning sympathy because Johnny’s wife, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), has cancer. Kristen advised Johnny not to let Chanel’s medical crisis drag him back into EJ’s orbit. And then when Johnny said EJ had been great, I think that’s when Kristen decided to change the subject and focus on manipulating EJ’s other kids.
Sydney DiMera – EJ’s troubled daughter back in the day
Sydney DiMera, his daughter, was Sami Brady(Alison Sweeney’s) daughter. Kristen’s call to Sydney was completely unexpected. If you remember, there has been ongoing drama for EJ and his daughter since the beginning. In 2009, Sami hid her pregnancy from EJ after having a one-night stand. And then Sami witnessed a murder and was put into witness protection. That’s where she fell in love with the FBI agent. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Meanwhile, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) was also pregnant with EJ’s child, but Nicole miscarried and then switched Sami’s baby with another woman’s baby. So, Nicole ran off with Sydney because she wanted EJ’s child. So, for the first part of her little life, Nicole raised Sami and EJ’s daughter, Sydney. And after Rafe noticed the baby change, Nicole ran off with Sydney.
Days of our lives: EJ’s terrible revenge against Sami
And then there was this whole thing where EJ and Anna staged a mock kidnapping with bloody clothes and a fake ransom to look heroic. And all this was done by EJ to get revenge on Sami. So, throughout her childhood, Sydney lived with Sami and then periodically with EJ amidst custody battles, make-ups, and breakups.
And then Sydney’s father, EJ, was killed and then resurrected with Kristen and Xander Cook Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) helps, no less. EJ was at Kristen’s warehouse in Nashville where they kept all Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) science projects with Xander doing all the care.
So, poor Sydney is the epitome of a poor rich girl. She’s been through a lot and we’re waiting to see a recast teenager sydney dimera soon. In recent episodes, EJ has had phone conversations with Sydney about returning to her home in Salem after school ends in Italy. His last appearance in Salem was in the 2021 Peacock series. Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas. That time, Sydney had been recast and aged a bit, with young teenage actress Evelyn Stevenson.
Kristen’s nefarious plan against EJ in DOOL
And since 2014, Sami has had Sydney living in Europe with her and has been off-screen, aside from that Christmas special. But that may be about to change. So maybe her horrible Aunt Kristen calling her niece behind EJ’s back is, you know, just to encourage her not to come to Salem. Not that Sydney and Kristen have ever been close as far as we know. No doubt.
I think Sami wouldn’t encourage them to be close and wouldn’t like Kristen calling Sydney out of the blue like this. Kristen definitely has something disastrous up his sleeve. He may have set his sights on Sydney as his next target to torment EJ. He wouldn’t let Kristen hurt Sydney. So Kristen is clearly plotting to harm EJ and may use Sami or Sydney to do so.
Days of our lives: Kristen and EJ, facing each other
AND This heated dispute between brothers The relationship between Kristen and EJ has been exacerbated by events such as DiMera’s kidnapping and its aftermath. Also for Rachel going from a spoiled child to a tormented teenager and, of course, for Kristen trying to kill Johnny. So EJ will find out what Kristen did very soon. It should be late this week or early next week when EJ realizes that Kristen used Sophia to try to kill Johnny. And, of course, Sofia almost succeeded. I mean, hell, if she had used the gun Kristen gave her, Sophia would have killed Johnny and EJ would be in mourning right now.
So once he finds out what Kristen did, EJ will threaten Kristen. I think it will be more of a promise. And it looks like at least EJ took it from her, but maybe it’s worse because remember, he threatened Kristen this week by telling her she might soon need Dr. Rolf’s resurrection serum. But if Kristen knows her time is about to run out, we could see her expanding her plans to ruin EJ’s relationships with Johnny and Sydney before EJ can come for Kristen.
And we know EJ will go crazy once he finds out that Kristen was in contact with Sydney, especially after what she did with Johnny. Because I think EJ would rightly assume the worst: that Kristen had also tried to kill Sydney. Let’s be realistic. While Kristen obviously isn’t afraid to use kids, including her own daughter Rachel, to do her dirty work, I mean, Kristen has used Rachel as a pawn in her games with Brady for years. And once EJ finds out about this, Kristen will be ready.
