Karen Derrico Doubling down with the Derricos has been arrested after allegedly threatening to kill her husband, Deon Derrico, and their children.
Karen Derrico faces harassment and stalking charges
On Wednesday, TMZ broke the news that Karen had been arrested in Las Vegas and charged with harassment, violation of a restraining order, preventing a witness from testifying by threat of violence, and aggravated harassment. According to prosecutors, the 14-year-old mother sent several emails to Deon threatening to hurt him if he showed up for a court hearing related to a restraining order he had filed against her, prosecutors said. He also made threats against his children.
The former couple divorced in June 2024, but were living together to co-parent their children. Sources tell TMZ that the relationship became strained after Karen realized that she and her ex were not going to reconcile. He then moved out of the house, along with four of the children.

Shortly after Karen’s arrest, Deon went to the media to share his side of the story.
“I was really alarmed and alerted when my children told me that she had threatened to kill them,” she said. Parade.
Deon explained that Karen wanted to remarry, but had realized that “it just couldn’t work.”
“I didn’t like the games that were played, you know, when we first got married,” she said.
After she moved out earlier this year, Deon said his ex-wife filed a “baseless” temporary protective order against him. That TPO was dismissed, but he filed his own TPO against her. Then, he said, she began lashing out via email. The written threats mirrored verbal threats Karen had previously made, Deon claimed.
“It scared me because it made me wonder (her saying that to them, the times she had said it to me) how serious it was or how stable she was when she said it?” the former TLC personality said. “And she just continued to exhibit that behavior.

Karen has been released on bail and has been fitted with an ankle monitor. His next court date is in early August. He has not commented directly on his arrest. But his lawyer has said that Deon, not Karen, is the real villain in the situation.
“The allegations are completely false,” Jess Marchese said. Oxygen True Crime. “And we will prove that they were completely invented by Mr. Derrico.”
Machese told TMZ that Deon actually sent the threatening emails to himself, but made it look like they came from Karen. He said they are working with technology experts to prove that Deon orchestrated a plot against his ex-wife.
Doubling down with the Derricos It aired for five seasons from 2020 to 2024. Last year, Deon confirmed that the show I wouldn’t go back to TLC. However, he said his family wouldn’t give up on reality TV and was looking for opportunities to bring a new show to a different network.
