The previously announced remake of the original game, titled Halo: Evolved CampaignIt will arrive on July 28. While the fact that it’s a remake will put some people off, it features new content and cooperative campaign play. Ideally, those new levels will be worth Halo name, especially considering how much it is still considered the original.
Beyond the mantic games website, there is an announcement that should excite Halo fans. The good news is that it will arrive this year, a few months after the launch of Halo: Evolved Campaign.
It will arrive at the end of this year and aims to create synergy with the launch of the remake; we are getting Halo: Campaign Evolved – The Board Game in Q4 2026. It was “created in partnership” with Halo Studios and supports 1-2 players, ages 13 and up.
We don’t know much, but we do know that it’s “an action-packed board game built around the iconic Master Chief adventure.” Expect more details from Mantic Games later this year, likely around the video game’s release.
Please note that Mantic Games already has extensive experience with the Halo franchise. they developed Halo Flash Pointa skirmish based game with highly detailed minis. Its existing partnership with Halo Studios and the 25+ year history drawn from the original. Halo It should serve as a great foundation for you to build on.
Solo gaming is a fantastic investment when it comes to the tabletop industry, given how much competition there is now. If you want to go solo, you can, and given how fast gaming moves these days, it’s easy for a game to get lost in the shuffle, or you might have a hard time recruiting people to play a certain title.
With solo play enabled out of the box, you can play it whenever you feel like it, without having to recruit others to play to ensure you can experience it. It’s a wonderful movement that’s been going on for the last 10 years or so, and I’m glad to see it continue here with the Halo: Evolved Campaign board game.
Solo play is also in line with the Halo franchising, since it has always been an option. Hopefully this pair of Evolved combat the games will pay off and we will see a resurgence of Halo one more time.
