Welcome back, Below deck Mediterranean fans! Last weekJoe found out his mother had breast cancer, and for about 3 minutes afterwards, he and Nathan made peace. However, that quickly ended once Nathan jumped to conclusions about something Joe said at a team night out. But now, Nathan has even bigger problems to deal with on Below Deck Mediterranean season 11, episode 3.
What happened in episode 3 of season 11 of Below Deck Mediterranean?
Our first love triangle is formed, and a new second stew is crowned. This promotion, however, causes tension within. But when a toxic guest joins and has problems with NathanNathan snaps, admitting that this could be his last season 11 statute.
Boatmances and a somewhat curated bromance
Aesha reminds Nathan that Joe “just got news about his mom. She’s probably in a strange place.” But Nathan “doesn’t give a damn.” And if he stays, he “might end up beating up” Joe, so he heads to his nearby rental house.
“Joe finds Nathan.”overly reactive (and) very aggressive.” Later, Luke and Joy flirt, as do Kat and Cooper, and so do Joe and Kayley. Kayley has the word “responsibility” tattooed on the inside of her lip. Joe loves his humor.
Nathan arrives at her rental and tells her Gael Cameron about your night. She gets stressed. But tonight has also been “a big mental challenge” for Joe. “She got the worst news” of her life and now she has “Nathan on my back.”
Joe needs “a release from reality.” Luckily for him, “Kayley is a very good distraction.”
Nearby, Luke hugs Joy. Gen sees and gags in his talking head. Cooper records this situation. He tells Luke, “Gen and Chefy are interested in you.”
Lucas knows it. However, he sees “something deeper” in Joy. Meanwhile, Kat wants “a house full of cats.”
Luke asks Joy if they can “chill” at their cabin. She says no, because “something great is not easy to achieve.” But Kayley isn’t looking for anything long-term, so she goes upstairs and makes out with Joe. These two, at least, are on the same page.
In the morning, Nathan returns to the yacht. He doesn’t want Joe to talk about Gael anymore. “It won’t happen again,” Joe says.
Then Nathan softens. “On a personal note, I’m sincerely sorry. I promise not to react like that again,” he says. Nathan also praises Joe for his work so far, leaving Joe “really surprised.”
A second stew and an exalted charter guest
Johnny and Michelle Damon will be back on board. They want a dining in the dark experience and an escape room challenge. Kayley is “excited to go back and research” ideas for the latter, she says, after Gen admits he’s done one of these before and “hated it.” Several seconds later, Aesha prepares Kayley her second stew.
Angry, Gen asks in her interview, “Are you serious?” Unfortunately for her, Aesha is.
“Gen may be more experienced in the role. But Kayley has this drive, this determination, and a lot of enthusiasm. She’s like a little Scrappy-Doo,” Aesha tells the camera.
Gen complains to Kat. But in the safety of her confessional, Kat admits that she “doesn’t share” his opinion.
The guests enter on board, one of whom, Josef, is already in a good mood. As the deck crew prepares to leave the dock, Nathan approaches and politely asks the guests to enter. Josef complains: “If you think I have to listen to you…” Uh oh.
Josef sits nearby while a few others stay around. Nathan approaches again and asks them to “come in, please.” Josef immediately argues, “Brother, I’ve gone off the railing and now you’re telling me to move, more instructions like, do you want me to go to the center downstairs?” He also complains: “Brother, I’m going to rip your face off.”
Josef continues complaining about nathan once inside. But Josef is also fighting with Adis, the woman he came on board with. And Adis wants to get off the yacht, NOW. Captain Sandy drops anchor and agrees to this poor woman’s request.
A charter guest confronts Nathan.
Gen writes a flirty sticky note to Luke as Josef’s reign of terror continues. Josef wants to get on the jet ski, so he tells Joe that he just had “a cocktail.” Nathan checks and finds out otherwise, and asks Josef to get off.
Josef confronts Nathan and tells him, “Tell me I’m wrong.” Nathan does it. Josef mutters, “I’m done with this damn guy.”
“According to my man, you can jump from the second floor of the boat, but you can’t ride a jet ski,” Josef shouts. “Please don’t be disrespectful to our boatswain,” Aesha orders. “This is the third time he says: put me in my place,” Josef argues. “He’s doing his job,” Aesha explains.
Josef asks, “Why are you focusing on me?” Without missing a beat, Aesha says, “Because you’re the problem for him.” But no, Nathan “is being a problem for me,” Josef thinks. “Just be respectful,” Aesha sighs, then radios Captain Sandy to keep her informed.
Captain Sandy talks to Josef. But during dinner, he disrespects her. several crew membersso Captain Sandy times him again. After dinner, Josef heads to the wheelhouse. Nathan gently rejects him.
Josef calls his lawyer to try to get another woman on board. Then return to the wheelhouse. “You’re a bit of an idiot,” he says, sitting next to Nathan as he lists off several things he hates about him. In his interview, Nathan cheekily admits, “I’m about to get fired.”
