Scheffler turned 30 on Sunday. Everyone knew it. He remains the most popular player in the sport.
Tom Kim doesn’t have the same following.
It’s also Tom Kim’s birthday…
You might not have known it on the first tee! Kim also tied for second place at the US Open on Sunday. He teed off at 2:19 PM ET, moments before Scottie Scheffler 2.30 pm start.
Kim turned pro in 2018, the same year as Scheffler. He ranks 141st in the OWGR, 140 places behind his counterpart.
His popularity is nowhere near that of Scheffler. That is a direct result of success.
Nevertheless, on the last day he finds himself in the middle of trouble. At the time of writing this, both players are tied for fourth place in the field.
A strong finish for each player ensures a solid birthday payout.
