The FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off on Thursday (June 11), with 48 teams competing to become world number 1.
How to watch the World Cup for free
You can watch the World Cup on Fox and FS1, with Spanish-language broadcasts available on Telemundo and Universo.
The World Cup can be streamed Fox Awhich is currently a three day trial.
There are also free trials available through services such as Fubo And DirectTV. Sling TV offers access to Fox and FS1 in select markets, but does not currently offer a free trial.
Spanish-language coverage is also available at Peacockwhich will stream all 104 matches live. Telemundo will broadcast 92 matches, while the remaining 12 will be broadcast on Universo.
This year’s World Cup will take place in 16 stadiums in the US, Mexico and Canada.
Which teams are in the 2026 FIFA World Cup groups?
The World Cup has included 48 countries since its inception. Only 32 pass the group round. These are the countries that will compete in the group stage:
