Now, Liverpool DJ Robin has opened up about his time in the villa, as well as clarifying his comments in what he described as an edited scene.
The star came under criticism after George’s exit was announced on the show, with islanders sharing their concerns and love for the footballer. Robin was then heard joking: “Does this mean the Fit Men are coming or what?”
Lorenzo joked: “Two minutes and she’s already thinking about another man.” Robin replied: “Sorry, I’m just asking if there are any men coming in?”
Many fans flocked to social media as one person wrote: “George hasn’t even left the villa and Robin demands fit men (laughing emoji).”
Another said: “”Does this mean there’s a fit guy coming or what?” Robin please.” A third said: ‘Robyn was asking for new fit men before George even arrived at the airport.’
In a clip shared on Instagram, Robyn was recently seen speaking to Capital Extra, where she opened up on the comments made following George’s exit. She explained: “So obviously George moving out was a big shock. I literally woke up first thing in the morning asking where George was.”
Speaking about her disappointment after his exit, she said: “I can confirm that they edited it wrong. I didn’t directly say if we were going to bring in more fit men, I was really, really disappointed. I had a beach hut and everything in between that time.”
Robin described it as “a good 20-25 minutes later” before his comment, adding, “It’s definitely been misunderstood. I was trying to lighten the mood. Someone had just left so everyone should have a joke.”
It’s not the first time Robyn has spoken out about the show’s editing, revealing some of the islanders are getting “bad editing”.
In an exclusive interview with closer, He said that he believed Opé’s editing was “definitely bad” as well as regarding Angelista, he said that she “looked a little boring” which is far from who she really is.
He added, “I don’t think Lola gets enough screen time because she’s a funny girl.”
