The NBC travel competition series, based on the Belgian format, is presented by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and post-production is currently underway.
In season two, six reality stars from shows like Big brother, Survivor, Love Island and even the Below deck franchise, will compete alongside seven civilians for the $250,000 grand prize.
Here’s the summary:
In this high-stakes travel competition series, hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the world is turned into a real-life game board as complete strangers embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Traveling aboard the darkened Destination
In each episode, players are immersed in extraordinary destinations where iconic landmarks, local culture and tourist attractions are transformed into experiential challenges. To discover their location and gain a competitive edge, participants must rely on their knowledge, observational skills and problem-solving skills. But discovering the right destination is only half the challenge.
As participants eat, sleep and travel together through some of the world’s most breathtaking locations, the game becomes increasingly strategic. Alliances form, rivalries arise, and every conversation may contain a valuable clue or a deliberate deception. With every step in the competition having real consequences, players must determine who can help them get closer to the truth, who poses the biggest threat, and who must brave the dreaded Map Room. There, the player who places an X on a map farthest from the actual location risks leaving the competition. During this epic journey, these adventurers are eliminated one by one. Ultimately, the first player to reach the final “Destination X” wins the grand prize of $250,000.
