Andy Cohen named the only city he wouldn’t want to go Real Housewives – and admitted that season 19 of Real Housewives of Orange County “got into the weeds” as he explained why.

Last season on RHOC, the cast tried to prove that Katie Ginella collaborated with Bravo content creators on social media. Tamra Judge was often at the helm, seemingly steering the cast against her. But after her costars started turning on Katie, Tamra quickly went to her corner to defend her.

In an interview for KMOV news 4Andy said he would never want to have an episode of Real Housewives in St. Louis, Missouri – his hometown.

“I think it’s a hard no,” the star said. “I can’t imagine how annoying it would be if my mother, father, sister and everyone I know said, ‘Oh, so-and-so auditioned.’ Or: ‘So-and-so is on it and is angry at the editing.’ I don’t need this.”

“I have enough drama with The Real Housewives of Orange County, Rhode Island, New York, Atlanta, Potomac‘ he added jokingly. “You know, it would have multiplied if it was in my hometown, because it would multiply with everyone I know has something to say to me. I have so much noise in my life. I also have two small children, believe me. It’s okay. We are doing well.”

Speak at NBTV partyAndy talked about the mistakes of RHOC season 19.

“Last season of Orange County … we got confused about a lot of things that happened,” Andy said via @bravobreakingnews on Instagram. “We never used to break the fourth wall. I remember a scene, I think in season two or three of Orange County… Lauri could have appeared at the convention center. And I thought: (why) does she appear? And they say, because she’s a housewife in Orange County. I was like, we don’t acknowledge that in the show.

“Of course we do that now,” he said. “I think we really want to tell the story of what’s going on in the lives of the women and their children, their marriages and their friendships, and not about what it’s like to be on the Real Housewives of Orange County.”

Andy then teased the new season, which will be shown the return of the original castmate Vicki Gunvalson.

“I could spend the next half hour talking about season 20 of Real Housewives of Orange County and how moved I am by it for so many reasons, how committed I am to it and how proud I am of it,” he said. “Especially in how proud I am of the women here tonight sharing incredible, intimate moments in their lives.”

“They’re all super relatable, super important,” he continued. “And I think this is a season that really takes this show and this franchise back to the early years and why we started it. And I’m proud to have Vicki back.”
