Billy Bob Thornton breaks his silence about his surprise full frontal scene in season two of Husbandman.
In a December 2025 episode of the Paramount+ series, the 70-year-old Oscar winner’s character Tommy wakes up in bed and accidentally flashes a hotel employee.
While you’re talking to We weekly at the 2026 Newport Beach TV Fest on Saturday (June 6), Billy Bob addressed the scene.
“I don’t know what the reaction was,” he said, “but before we started filming, it was obviously like, ‘Wow, yeah, this is interesting.'”
Billy Bob calling it a “funny scene”, adding, “And I didn’t care.”
In the episode, the hotel worker started screaming when Tommy, who was still sleeping, rolled over and exposed himself. The woman asked Tommy not to “rape” her, and that’s when Angela (Ali Larter) rushed in from the bathroom.
“Put your dick away!” Angela told Tommy before speaking to the hotel employee. “Don’t be afraid, honey. That wasn’t about you. He eats (prescription drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction) Cialis like M&M’s and runs into door jams all morning with that thing. I’m so sorry.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter from earlier this year, maker Christian Wallace made it clear that it was “not a real full-frontal” scene Billy Bob.
“We had an intimacy coordinator on set, and the original prosthetic she brought in made everyone laugh. We were like, ‘No.'” Christian remembered.
After seeing the size of the original prosthesis, the crew opted for “a more modest alternative.” Billy Bob.
“It’s surprising to me that people think Billy was actually completely naked,” Christian said. “So I’d have to say props to our intimacy coordinator for making it extremely realistic, and to the props team. They had a whole outfit, as Billy put it, ‘I’ve got my gear on.'”
