NBC Fall 2026 Schedule: “The Traitors: New Blood” Takes Over “Law & Order” Thursday Timeslot

NBC has announced its fall schedule, which includes three new series, several returning comedies, dramas and reality shows, and a schedule shakeup for an iconic franchise. On Wednesday, June 24, NBC revealed the fall premiere dates for all of its shows, including the three new series, The traitors: new blood (a spin-off of the popular reality TV murder mystery competition series The traitorswith a completely non-famous cast), Newlyweds (a comedy series starring real-life couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly), and Line of fire (an action thriller series starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis).

Additionally, NBC’s fall schedule includes the returning comedies, Happy’s Place, St. Denis Medical, And The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, along with his dramas, the One Chicago And Law and order franchises. Reality TV shows The voice And America has talent are also on NBC’s fall schedule, as well as Sunday Night Football.

The Traitors: New Blood shakes up Law & Order’s schedule

According to Termthe new spin-off from Peacock’s hit reality TV show, The traitorstitled, The traitors: new bloodpresented by Alan Cumming, will take over Law & Order 8pm timeslot on Thursdays starting September 17, while the classic lawyer drama moves to 10pm for season 26. Law and order: SVU season 28 will air between the two at 9 p.m., with both shows in the long-running franchise returning on October 8.

NBC comedies premiere a little later in the season than some of the network’s other shows. Happy’s place season 3 and Newlyweds starts on Friday, October 23. St. Denis Medical season 3 and The fall and rise of Reggie Dinkins Season 2 debuts even later, on Monday, November 2.

Favorites from reality TV shows return to NBC in the fall

NBC’s fall schedule is heavy on reality TV, featuring The voice Season 30 airs three nights a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), and features returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, as well as newcomers to the show, Queen Latifah and Riley Green. America has talent season 21 ends on Wednesday, September 23 after its summer run. In addition, The traitors: new blood will join NBC’s reality TV lineuppremieres on Thursday, September 17.

Two more new scripted NBC series are scheduled for winter 2027

NBC has two other new scripted series in the works, one of which is a reboot The Rockford Files with David Boreanaz and Sunset PIa workplace comedy created by Brooklyn Nine-Nine writers Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, starring Jake Johnson and Jane Levy. The Rockford Files will premiere in January 2027, while Sunset PI debuts in February 2027.
