
Dianna Russini brought home the bacon.
The sportscaster before her earned an annual salary of $800,000 when she worked for the New York Times lost her job due to the Mike Vrabel scandala former manager who was aware of Russini’s income told the newspaper in a new report.
Russini was one of the highest paid journalists at the Athletic purchased by the Times in 2022 for $550 million.
“When the story broke, the Athletic was in discussions with Ms. Russini about renewing her contract, which was set to expire at the end of June,” the outlet said.
In April, page six exclusive photos released of Vrabel, 50, and Russini, 43, holding hands and cuddling at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona.
The New England Patriots head coach and the sportscaster – who are both married to other people – denied there was anything romantic going on between them and insisted they were joined at the resort by other friends, despite eyewitnesses disputed their claims.
Russini became later sidelined by the New York Times and later has resigned as the NFL’s senior insider in Athletics.
Vrabel then announced he would skip Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft seek advice and focus on family and personal matters.
A day later, Page Six published exclusive photos of the former NFL player and Russini kissing in a dimly lit bar in New York City in 2020 – six years before their Arizona resort getaway.
Mike was already married to his wife, Jen Vrabelwhile Russini was about to exchange vows with her current husband, Shake Shack CEO Kevin Goldschmidtjust six months later.
So Rusini deleted her social media accounts and Mike and his wife had one emergency summit on 24-hour marriages in Park City, Utah.
As of this month, the NYT investigation into Russini’s affair is underway still ongoing.
