Jordan Brook has revealed why he won’t be proposing to Sophie Butcher any time soon, after a battle with meningitis left the reality star unable to walk or speak.

Jordan, 31, returned home in April after spending several weeks in the hospital due to blue light. But when he and Sophiewho appeared on mtv Geordie ShoreExpecting their first child, marriage is not in the near future for them.
Speaking on the latest episode of You Alright Hun? In TOWIE’s podcast, Jordan revealed how the virus wreaked havoc on his body. “I had a limp in my right leg, which was a signal from my brain that it had not healed,” he said.
He added: “I have been extremely excited by the places where I lived and where I loved to live, and I have always been singing on stage.” Jordan says that now, he feels like a “shell” of himself, and he is worried about his strength.
Throughout the podcast, Jordyn praised her partner, 36, for supporting her in her health battles while she was pregnant. “I don’t know what I would have done without that girl,” Jordan said. She further added that she had no idea what kind of journey Sophie took in life while she was heavily pregnant.
Reflecting on any marriage murmurs, Jordan revealed Sophie isn’t keen on proposing while she’s pregnant. So instead, the couple will be welcoming their first child together before considering getting married. He added, “But if she gets pregnant again, she would never want to get married while pregnant. She wants our kids to be close to each other, so it’s circumstantial.”
“It will naturally take two, three, maybe four years for us to get married.” Speaking previously, Jordan revealed he feared he would die before he and Sophie’s son was born.
talking to Sun, He said: “We’d been to hell and back trying to have a baby, and suddenly there was a real possibility that I was going to die before my son was born.”
He added: “They saved my life because becoming a father was something I held on to and never forgot – even when the virus was actively changing who I was.” Despite their son’s imminent arrival, Jordana and Sophie previously revealed that the couple have not yet chosen a name for their son.
When asked by a fan if she had decided, Sophie replied: “I think boy names are really hard. I struggle with boy names. Jordan and I have discussed boy names a lot, we’re struggling to agree on boy names.”
“Apparently he was in the hospital for two months. He’s still dealing with severe brain injuries, so I don’t really want to put too much pressure on him. But we are getting closer to his arrival and will need to have a conversation soon. We differ a lot in names so it’s a little hard and it’s a little serious topic.”
Jordan said the condition was changing his personality because it was causing his brain to swell, putting pressure on vital areas of his brain.
His personality changed so much that he shouted at a member of the public to turn off his phone because he could hear what he was hearing.
After 22 days, Jordan was allowed to leave the hospital, but his recovery was still far from over. Since he was unable to walk for some time, he is currently suffering from muscle deterioration and fatigue.
