TI seeks to dismiss remaining claim in case –

TI is asking a federal judge to dismiss what could be the last remaining claim in Sabrina Peterson’s case against him.

According AllHipHopThe Atlanta rapper filed a motion on June 15 asking U.S. District Judge Fernando M. Olguín to dismiss Peterson’s emotional distress claim. Peterson first accused TI in 2021 of pointing a gun at his head, an allegation he and his wife, Tiny Harris, have denied.

The current issue stems from an Instagram video from July 2025 in which TI told his followers: “It’s a beautiful day to not spread lies and not be negative. It’s a beautiful day, man, to mind your business.” Peterson has argued that the video was directed at her and caused her emotional harm, but TI’s legal team disagrees, saying the post does not mention Peterson by name, tag her, or directly refer to her.

His attorney, J. Cameron-Banks, also argued that Peterson has not provided new facts to support the claim and instead continues to rely on past allegations from 2007 and 2014, according to the outlet.

Peterson previously sued TI and Tiny for defamation, invasion of privacy, emotional distress and other claims, and although several claims have since been dismissed, Peterson was ordered to pay more than $96,000 in legal fees.

TI also filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Peterson in 2024 over social media claims he claimed were false.

The hearing is reportedly scheduled for July 30.
