Melania Trump has been the subject of many jokes over the years, but it looks like “Scary Movie 6” decided that one joke about her was best left on the cutting room floor! Star Anna Faris revealed that she “always pushed” for her character, Cindy, to become a “classic MAGA,” but the joke didn’t make it into the final cut of the film. Sources indicate that the decision to stop the joke was not politically motivated, but for reasons of pacing.

“Scary Movie” first hit theaters in 2000 and was such a success that it was followed the next year by “Scary Movie 2.” “Scary Movie 3” followed in 2003, “Scary Movie 4” in 2006 and “Scary Movie 5” in 2013, meaning the franchise ended sooner Donald Trump first took office in 2016.
However, Anna Faris wanted to get a little political in “Scary Movie 6,” which has already earned more than $50 million at the box office. In a new interview with Dexertoshe revealed that she “always pushed for Cindy to go down a classic MAGA rabbit hole.”
She felt like Cindy was “the kind of person you would see outside Walmart during quarantine who would make a big fuss.”
Melania Trump’s joke was reportedly not cut for political reasons
Faris described the scene in detail, which involved a parody of Melania Trump’s “Be Best” campaign.
“There was a moment when I got drunk. I was sitting in my truck and I looked in the rearview mirror and I said, ‘Be the best, Cindy Campbell. Be the best,'” Faris recalls. “That didn’t make it, but I liked that I winked there.”
“You know, what are you going to do? Are you going to be mad at Cindy?” Faris added. “I’m in a movie that is honestly the most offensive movie ever, and I’m the leader of it. And I participate in offensive ideas. I think I can do anything. It’s freed me.”
Shortly after the interview aired, sources said TMZ that the joke was for pacing, not politics.
Anna Faris is grateful for her return to ‘Scary Movie 6’

If The explosion previously reported, Faris is grateful to reconnect with the Wayans brothers and return to her comedic roots. “I had already come to the idea that Hollywood would put me out to pasture. And that was okay,” Faris said Entertainment weeklynoting that just a month after losing her home in the 2025 Palisades Fire, she received a call from Marlon about the film.
“When the house burned down, we had to take stock. So to get this opportunity to thank them, I had to thank them every day. They were probably very annoyed with me,” Faris joked. She also admitted that this was the first time she had spoken to either of the Wayans brothers since “Scary Movie 2.”
Although she returned for the third and fourth films, she did not contact the Wayans brothers, who were not involved in those films. “I always wanted that. But to be honest, I didn’t know if they were mad at me,” Faris admitted.
The Wayans Brothers Reveal How the Franchise Was ‘Stripped From Us’
In an interview with VarietyMarlon Wayans claimed that he and his brothers were pushed by Bob and out of the franchise Harvey Weinstein after asking for a raise following the success of the first two films. They also claim that the Weinsteins failed to properly pay them royalties for the first two films.
“They absolutely did it (us wrong). Absolute,Wayans said, adding, “We could have filed a lawsuit, and we probably would have won.” They also claim that the Weinsteins stole their idea for the next film and made the film without them.
“We didn’t even know,” Wayans told the publication. “On New Year’s Eve we received a message that they were busy Scary movie 3. The franchise was stripped from us. And we just asked for our fair share.”
“What they did is between them and God,” he added. “I don’t condone that kind of behavior, but I can’t harbor hatred and pain in my heart if I want to evolve.”
‘Scary Movie 6’ was one of their father’s last wishes
Elsewhere in the interview, Marlon revealed that one of his father’s dying wishes was for him and his brothers to “work together again.”
“When Jon (current Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman) tapped me to make ‘Scary Movie,’ I thought, ‘I can’t do this without my brothers,’ so I brought in Shawn and Keenen,” Wayans recalls. “This is a throwback to the franchise we all created, so forget all the bad years! This isn’t ‘Scary Movie 6’; this is a reboot.”
At this time, it remains unclear whether they plan to continue the franchise with ‘Scary Movie 7’, but given the success of horror films like ‘Obsession’ and ‘Backrooms’ at the box office, fans are hoping that the Wayans brothers will reunite for at least one film.
