Harry Redknapp opens up about his health
harry redknapp has shared an update on a health diagnosis that recently caught him by surprise. Whereas i am a celebrity…Earlier this year before South Africa 2026 aired, the 79-year-old revealed that he had been diagnosed with hearing loss and has since started using hearing aids.
While Harry was unaware there was a problem, his long-term wife Sandra noticed he was having difficulty hearing certain things and encouraged him to get his hearing checked.
Viagogo and Ruffian’s football-inspired activation Speaking exclusively to Us at Shoreditch’s Ruffian’s barber shop For World Cuts, he revealed he regularly forgets to wear his hearing aids, although he insisted everything is fine.
During our conversation he said, “I’ve flown to London and I’ve left my hearing aids at home.”
“Yeah, I haven’t had them lately, that’s so stupid isn’t it. I had them on charge and came out without them,” he laughed.
“I’m fine without them, yes, I can survive, I’m not too bad.”
Recalling the diagnosis that took her by surprise, she said: “I didn’t think I had a problem until I went for a hearing test and then they said, ‘Oh, you’re too low’, so I actually caught them.”
The former West Ham United manager previously described his hearing problems as “alarming”, citing incidents such as accidentally leaving his indicators on while driving.
Speaking with his wife Sandra this morning Earlier this year, he admitted: “It could have caused accidents.”
Her husband chimed in: “He’d say I was whispering when I wasn’t. Then, if we’d go out to dinner and there was a group of people there, I’d feel like he wasn’t listening or engaging in the conversation.”
Speaking about his overall health, he told us: “Yeah touch wood, we’re all good!”
As his 80th birthday approaches next year, East says he has no plans to slow down.
“I love being busy, it’s nice to wake up every day with something to do,” she shared, adding that her schedule remains as busy as ever.
However, one thing that is not on the list is another reality show. Harry reached the final of the latest series of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa, which he ultimately won adam thomas.
Addressing the feud between the Waterloo Road actor and his fellow castmates David Haye and Jimmy Bullard, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Winner said that “it all went a bit far” and suggested that there was “joking” on both sides.
Speaking more broadly about reality shows, he said: “I’ve had enough now. It was good fun but no, I was asked to do Strictly years ago and I didn’t really want to do it.”
