Yorkie dog has his own TikTok account and regularly enjoys days out with his owner Boston. However, last night may have been the most fun yet for the dog as he was met by thousands of Scottish fans who cheered him on for his patriotic outfit.

Wearing his adorable little conical hat, Toby and his owner visit several statues around the city that the Tartan Army has made of the Duke of Wellington.

However, the pair were surprised when the Scots saw little Toby’s outfit and decided to welcome him into their group.

“We didn’t expect to find 1,000 new friends. The Tartan Army welcomed us with open arms, hugs, photos, songs and lots of joy. Even a police officer laughed and said, “Now even the dog has a cone!” “Great night, relaxed atmosphere and warm welcome. Thank you for making us feel a part of it!! It’s safe to say that Toby became Honorary Scot for the day.”

There were also comments from Scots about the heartwarming video, with one joking: “Greyfriars Toby.” Another shouted: “No Toby, no party… No Toby, no party…”

A third wrote: “He’s our dog now.”

Someone else shared a funny photo of their dog in a Scotland top, asking: “Andy asking if Toby is single? (She’s a girl, named after Andy Murray).”

A fourth replied: “Toby the honorary Scottish mascot for tomorrow’s match.”

Following last weekend’s 1-0 win against Haiti, Scotland play Morocco at the Boston Stadium tonight at 11pm BST.

After securing their first World Cup win in 36 years on Saturday, June 13, tonight’s match sees Scotland potentially qualify for the first time in World Cup history if they beat or draw Morocco.
