general hospital Fans, we have absolutely shocking casting news for you about Maxi Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Serena Baldwin and two more exits, plus some other ins and outs.
General Hospital: Serena Baldwin Recast – Kelly Krueger Intervenes
So, we’ll get to the meat of Kirsten Storms in a moment. But first, let’s talk about the recast. There’s a new Serena Baldwin coming to the ABC soap opera. If you’ve forgotten, she was last played by Carly Schroeder, who was in the role from 1997 to 2003, but won’t be returning as Serena. The reason is quite interesting. In 2019, Carly Schrader joined the military and she’s quite the badass. She is an officer and five years ago also got her airborne wings.
By the way, that’s paratrooper training and I post videos of her shooting machine guns and all that army stuff. So, with Carly serving her country, they needed a new Serena and hired another beautiful soap opera vet to play her. general hospital Soap cast veteran Kelly Krueger for the role. she was in The young and the restless from 2002 to 2019, intermittently as McKenzie Browning.
He has also done Christmas movies as many soap opera stars do. Kelly also did a dozen episodes on Bold and beautiful like a character called Eva. That role was fun for Kelly because she got to work with her now ex-husband, then-husband, soap actor Darren Brooks, who just returned to Bold and beautiful as Spencer Wyatt (Darin Brooks).
General Hospital: Serena Baldwin’s Connections
So if you don’t remember Serena Baldwin, let’s talk about her because she has on-screen ties that are interesting. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was her surrogate mother and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is his biological father. Dominique Stanton was Serena’s biological mother and Dominique was dying at the time and wanted to leave a child for her husband Scotty.
So, Lucy served as her surrogate mother and after Dominique’s death, we have seen Lucy playing a maternal role in Serena’s life ever since. And of course, Lucy was also back with Scotty. And with Serena returning, it would be great if Scotty returned as well. I love me some Kin Shriner. But in the meantime, his pseudo-mom, Lucy, is still very active in Port Charles. And most importantly, there is a half-brother that Serena does not know and has not met, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). They share the same mother, Dominique, but their biological father is, of course, mac scorpio (John J. York).
We know that Cody is a few years older than Serena and his mother gave Cody up for adoption to protect him. And it was only a couple of years ago that he came to town and found out that Mac was his father and that they had been forming a relationship. So, it would be very interesting to see Serena meet Cody. So, Kelly Krueger began filming scenes as Serena on Monday, June 8. She will make her on-screen debut during the July sweeps. Actress Kelly Krueger said she is honored and excited to play the role of Serena.
General Hospital: Kirsten Storms steps away from role of Maxie Jones
Alright, now let’s talk about Kirsten Storms. He’s only had 10 episodes as Maxie Jones this year and we’re approaching the halfway point of the year. We last saw Kirsten Storms on March 13. Maxie’s absence has been evident, especially with Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) evil twin back. And we filtered here before it was confirmed that Kirsten was I’m going to take a break like Maxie.
That was due to a brain aneurysm and she moved to Nashville because her ex-husband Brandon Barash, who also used to be in general hospital like Johnny DiMera, he moved there with his daughter Harper. And that also brought Kirsten closer to her best friend Emmy Ryland, who lives in St. Louis.

General Hospital: Kirsten’s Real-Life Challenges
Now, fortunately, Kirsten’s doctor decided to postpone it. She said they could wait and see how her brain aneurysm approached, but she still had soap opera-level drama in her real life while taking a break from playing Maxie. We know that Kirsten reported that her apartment had been broken into and her phone was hacked as a result. He showed some security footage of someone at his door in the early hours of the morning acting strangely.
And then, of course, came the surprising news that Brandon Barash served a restraining order to limit his access to his daughter. Kirsten has been open in the past about her mental health journey speaking to Maurice Benard on his podcast about her state of mind regarding her struggle with bipolar disorder and is now coming clean about her status as Maxie Jones on general hospital.
Kirsten Storms said: “As for what’s in my future where general hospital “I’m worried,” she said, “given what’s been happening, I can’t say I’ll feel comfortable returning to Los Angeles and returning to work.” This has been an eye-opening experience about the downsides of my profession. My daughter is my whole life. She is and always will be my first priority.”
So there you have it. It seems pretty clear that she will stop playing Maxie. So, we may end up getting a recast at some point if Kirsten Storms doesn’t change her mind about staying away from Los Angeles. And of course, the story demands Maxie’s return. So, they had already had an actress replace her before. Maybe they will for now. It’s a shame. She is a great actress. She was great too days of our lives as Beautiful black. And I loved Kirsten in dirty soap in the past. However, by prioritizing her own health and that of her son, those seem like good decisions she is making for herself right now. So let’s hope everything goes well for him.
General Hospital: other departures and casting updates
Now, let’s talk about other outputs in this general hospital Ins and outs update. First, in case you missed it, Marc Forget has come out as Pascal Leveque. and it seems Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) may have its last air date this Friday, June 12. Actress Kate Mansi said she would be sure to watch that day to find out Kristina’s future. And then on the most recent episode of GH, she said luke jones (Van Hansis) who would be leaving Port Charles in a few days. But Kristina has yet to tell her parents. alexis davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sonny Corinth (Maurice Benard). But Kristina has both conversations this week. We know that since general hospital spoilers. So, I think Friday might be his last day. Although it is still not absolutely confirmed.
We also have Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is back filming, and she should be on screen very soon because she’s been back for a few weeks. AND Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned to filming on Monday, June 1. Therefore, its first air date should also arrive during the July raids. However, our leaker said we may not see Jason in Port Charles for a while, although he will return to general hospital. Rumor has it that Burton’s first few weeks might just be Jason in Indonesia, where he was sent by WSB.
Something like when we arrived Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) when it was recast. If you remember when he debuted, he was being held down and tortured by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey). I think they were on a boat and then maybe later at a campbut I know they were on a boat. Anyway, we also have a new hunk arriving on the Port Charles scene. Australian actor Dean Geyer makes his debut in July as Tristan Roberts, a character named after Robert Scorpio actor Tristan Rogers. Last I heard he might be playing a doctor.
We also have a new Explorer Cain next. They’re doing a recast and aging up Drew’s daughter, turning her into a teenager. Kayden Tokarski replaces Cosette Abinante. Scout was born in Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Drew in 2017, so he should be nine years old. The last actress was 12, so they aged her up a bit. And now they are rapidly aging it by seven more years. She will be 16 years old when the new actress takes on the role.
