In a video posted to social media, Sajak answered questions about life after leaving the show. “Hi! I know a lot of you were wondering how I’m doing, and I’m enjoying life,” he said.

The video then turned into a joke about his location when Sajak, who appeared to be sitting in front of a beach backdrop, noted that he was in Montana, a landlocked, mountainous state, before framing a cow, whose moo could be heard off-camera.

The video sparked reactions on social media and marked one of his few public updates since leaving the show.

Pat Sajak’s departure from ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Sajak’s last regular episode of Wheel of Fortune aired in 2024, although he remained involved Celebrity Wheel of Fortune until June 2025. A year later, the video appeared to show him in a tropical setting.

Ryan Seacrest took on the role of host alongside Vanna White after Sajak’s departure. According to EWWhite has addressed the public comparisons between the two, saying that contrasting Sajak and Seacrest would be like “comparing apples and oranges,” adding, “They’re both great.” Everyone has their own style and people watching the show can see their personality.”

Sajak’s video is sparking reactions online

Seacrest joined in Wheel of Fortune in 2024, where he took over as host after Sajak retained his role Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

Sajak has made relatively few public appearances. His recent social media post has drawn backlash online, with fans and followers responding to his joke and nodding at his claim that he was in Montana when it appeared he was in a tropical setting.
