Hallmark star Jen Lilley loves to talk about motherhood. Whether documenting her experience fostering and adopting her two oldest children or sharing the pregnancy announcements Of her two youngest daughters, the mother of four has always been forthcoming about how she balances parenthood with her in-demand career, which spans the big and small screen. Unsurprisingly, it hasn’t always been easy, as was the case when she filmed Hallmark’s “Paris, Wine and Romance” on location in Europe while pregnant with her eldest daughter.
The first problem Lilley encountered was establishing a diet that worked for him. “It was difficult because we shot the movie in Bulgaria, so finding things in Bulgaria that I could eat was a little difficult…” he said. Jen Lilley is one of the Celebrities You Didn’t Know Filmed While Pregnant during the production of “Paris, Wine and Romance,” and it’s probably because it wasn’t his first rodeo. In fact, Lilley filmed three Hallmark movies during her first pregnancy, with the first being 2019’s “Love Unleashed.” Luckily, Lilley arrived much earlier in her journey, which made shooting a breeze, except for one small thing. “That was just a challenge because it was cold, but I think it was the easiest as far as pregnancy goes,” she said. It was great because I worked with that team and Christie on five different movies,” she continued, adding, “It was like being with family, and everyone knew I was pregnant and they were excited.”
Of course, Lilley not only proved that she’s not the type to let pregnancy slow her down. She also returned to work almost immediately. In December 2019, while promoting her Christmas movie, “Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday,” she revealed that she only took eight weeks of maternity leave after giving birth. And he had his kids to thank for that! “I don’t know if I could have done it if Julie, our daughter, had been my first baby,” she shared with eastern time. “She’s my first biological baby, but since I had two babies before her (one by adoption and the other currently in foster care), I was used to the way a child just changes your life and adapts.” She continued, “So, I don’t know if I could have done it.”
